Teens injured in hit and run accident

BRONX (WABC) -- Police were searching for two men who fled from a hit and run accident.

The accident happened in the Van Nest section of the Bronx on Thursday afternoon.

Police in an unmarked car pulled over the suspects on a tip that there were guns inside their vehicle.

As the officers approached the car, it took off, striking three teenagers at Van Nest Avenue and East 180th Street.

The victims, 16 and 17 year old boys and a 17 year old girl, were in the hospital in stable condition.
