MIDTOWN (WABC) -- An investigation of the possible sex assault of an 18-year-old woman caused traffic delays near the Lincoln Tunnel in Midtown this morning.
Newscopter-7 was live over the scene.
The westbound lanes of West 42nd Street were closed at 10th Avenue, causing traffic backups into the tunnel during the morning commute.
Authorities were investigating after an 18-year-old woman claimed she was attacked inside a white Hummer limousine just after 4:30 a.m.
She reportedly entered the Hummer at the intersection of West 59th Street and Columbus Avenue.
She told police she was sexually assaulted by two of the four men in the Hummer.
Eyewitness News is told she managed to get out onto West 42nd Street, at 10th Avenue, and called police.
The woman was taken to Roosevelt Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Detectives will in the NYPD's sex victims unit will talk to the woman further.
They also want to talk to the four men who were in the Hummer limousine.
