FOREST HILLS (WABC) -- A murder investigation is underway in Queens after a man was found stabbed to death in his apartment.
It is described as being a "very, very bloody scene."
The victim's body was actually discovered by the building's superintendent. His friends and colleagues reportedly called the super he did not come to work.
The victim, in his mid-30s, was moved from the sixth-floor apartment Thursday morning. Police say blood was found in both the bedroom and the kitchen area of his apartment.
Neighbors described the victim as a nice young man, and his death has left many in shock.
"I feel sick because he's such a nice young fellow," neighbor Adela Saporta said. "So clean, and you should see how he fixed his apartment. I just lost my husband two years ago and he would come. He's very friendly."
Investigators are checking on the building's fire escape and looking for any clues they can find into this grisly murder.
