Off-Duty cop shot in Bronx

A suspended NYPD cadet was shot in the Bronx.

The shooting took place on Avenue St. John and Beck street in the Longwood section of the Bronx.

The police cadet was off-duty and also happens to be suspended from the 41st precinct.

The shooting took place inside the cadet's apartment building. The suspended cadet was shot in the stomach.

The cadet was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.

There is no cause of the shooting and no suspects have been taken into custody at this time.
