Dozens left homeless after Brooklyn fire

Flames spread through all four floors, finally shooting through the roof in an inferno that lit up the night sky.

Officials say dozens of residents were forced to flee, many with young children.

Eyewitness News is told at least 23 firefighters were treated for minor injuries, and nine of them were taken to the hospital. Two residents were also treated for minor injuries.

Many residents were evacuated from the building and left homeless, and the American Red Cross is providing them assistance.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the fire marshal.
