Hit and run in the Bronx

A pedestrian was struck and critically injured in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx.

The 58-year-old man was hit by a Lincoln Town Car on Bruckner Boulevard, at Longwood Avenue, just before 1 a.m.

Family has identified the victim has Octavio Reyes.

He was hit by the vehicle, which was heading southbound on Bruckner Boulevard. Reyes was rushed to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition.

The vehicle fled the scene. It reportedly has heavy damage to front windshield.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
