BRONX (WABC) -- Police are looking for the killer of a father of two children, who was shot execution-style while he sat in a car in the Bronx.
"I could not believe it. I could not believe it. Not him," Santa Collazo said.
She was reacting to the murder of long-time friend and neighbor Joseph Rosado.
The 37 year old father of two was shot to death just feet from his front door Saturday night as he sat in a mini-van with his younger brother.
The building's super says he had been with the victim just an hour before he was killed.
"When you're a family person, good guy, there's not explanation why. It's very, very, very shocking," Efrain Rodriguez said.
A home made memorial sits near the entrance of Rosado's building. Candles and handwritten notes pay tribute to a man many here say was the heart of the community.
"He's a big teddy bear. He was lovable. He's a very good father. He comes from a very good family. He was always helping everybody here," Collazo said.
As a wife and two daughters try to understand how this could happen to a loving husband and father, police are searching for who is responsible.
Detectives are looking into whether Rosado may have been an unsuspecting casualty of a dispute involving another family member. .
