Livery cab driver attacked, robbed

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A livery cab driver is in the hospital after a passenger attacked and robbed him.

Police released surveillance video of the suspect.

Investigators say the suspect hailed a livery cab at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal earlier this week.

Once inside the vehicle, the man began hitting the driver.

That's when the suspect stabbed him and stole his money, police said.

The driver remained in stable condition at an area hospital late Wednesday night.
