Double shooting in Staten Island

Two people were shot in Staten Island and then drove from the shooting scene to a home, where one of them was pronounced dead, according to police.

The two were apparently shot at the intersection of York Avenue and Van Tuyl Street in the New Brighton section just before 12:30 a.m., and then sped from the scene.

They made it to a home on Yale Street, where 24-year-old Kameek Sears, who was shot multiple times, was pronounced dead inside the white Lexus.

Donte McKeem, 23, was shot in the left arm was taken to Richmond University Medical Center in stable condition.

A third person in the vehicle was not injured. Police say neither McKeem nor the unharmed person is is cooperating with detectives. No arrests have been made.
