CARROLL GARDENS (WABC) -- A 29-year-old man who hadn't been heard from for days was discovered shot dead in his basement apartment in the Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn.
The body of Troy Young was found inside the apartment on 4th Street just after midnight.
Young's friend had not heard from him since Wednesday, so he called the police.
The landlord let the police into the basement apartment, where they found his body.
Doctor's discovered a bullet inside Young's head, and his death is believed to be a homicide.
Young lived alone in the apartment. He was a drummer in the Brooklyn band, Curious Mishap.
There was no forced entry and nothing appeared to have been taken.
No arrests were immediately made.
