Police look for man in apartment building sodomy

Police have released a sketch of the man wanted for allegedly sodomizing a woman on the Lower East Side.

The attack happened inside the LaGuardia Houses on January 18 around 7:30 a.m. Police say the 19-year-old victim was followed into an apartment building and into the elevator, at which point the suspect pulled a knife, forced the woman out of the elevator and into the stairwell and sodomized her.

The suspect also took pictures of the victim with a camera phone before fleeing down the stairs.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a dark complexion, apporximately 18 to 23 years old. He is 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and weighs about 200 pounds. He has a medium build and a medium black Afro. He was last seen wearing a black North Face jacket, blue jeans and black boots.
