Woman found raped, murdered in Old Bridge

OLD BRIDGE (WABC) -- Police in New Jersey are trying to find the killer who raped and murdered a woman in her home in Old Bridge.

A 911 call was made from the victim's home on Hilltop Boulevard in the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge around 8:00 Thursday morning.

Sources told Eyewitness News that police found the woman dead in bed. She had been raped and murdered.

The cause of death will be determined once the autopsy is complete.

The New Jersey State Police arson squad is assisting the police and prosecutor's office in the investigation.

The victim's name has not been released.
