Search for suspect in attempted robbery of elderly woman

The NYPD is looking for a suspect wanted in the attempted robbery of a 94-year-old woman.

The NYPD is looking for a suspect wanted in the attempted robbery of a 94-year-old woman.

Police say the suspect knocked on the victims door in the Richmond Hill section of Queens, pushed his way in and attempted to grab a chain from around her neck.

The suspect was unsuccessful in grabbing the chain, and the victim suffered minor injuries.

Police say the suspect is a Hispanic male, 30-35 years old, 160 lbs. with a mark on his left cheek. He was last seen wearing a brown t-shirt.
