SUMMIT (WABC) -- Two teenagers have been charged with manslaughter in the videotaped death of a 47-year-old Summit, New Jersey, man.
As word spread through town, the victim's friends placed flowers at the crime scene.
Investigators believe Abelino Mazaniego was attacked because his teenage killers wanted to make a video.
Eyewitness News exclusively obtained that video.
It shows one suspect sitting beside Mazaniego on a park bench, while the other sneaks up behind him and holds a white sheet in front of his head.
Then, the boy on the bench jumps up and slams his fist, full-force, into Mazaniego's face.
The victim was punched twice, and investigators believe the second punch finished him off. Mazaniego never regained consciousness and was dead within 72 hours.
Late Wednesday afternoon, police charged 18-year-old Khayri Williams-Clark with manslaughter.
Investigators say he is the one who held the sheet.
The boy on the bench was also charged, but he was not identified because he is a minor.
Mazaniego lived in town and had worked as a dishwasher at the local Indian restaurant for three years.
The brutality of the attack left residents stunned.
The county prosecutor's office is still working to identify the person who shot the video.
Investigators say it was e-mailed to several teenagers in the days that followed the attack.
Williams-Clark is being held on $100,000 bail.
Anyone with information regarding the attack is urged to contact Homicide Task Force Detective Patrick Bradley at (908) 527-4152 or Summit Police Department Sgt. Michael Rabasca (908) 277-9389.
