ST. JAMES, NY (WABC) -- A uniformed Suffolk County police officer somehow lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a 7-11 store Saturday morning.
It happened at the store on Lake Avenue in Saint James at 2:35 a.m.
People were inside the store at the time, but no one was injured, except for the officer.
He injured his leg and was rushed to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
