$1M Powerball ticket sold in Palatine

October 24, 2012 (PALATINE, Ill.) -- A Palatine store sold a winning Powerball ticket, meaning someone in the area is going to be $1 million richer.

The winner, who has yet to come forward, bought their winning Quick Pick ticket at Lamplighter Inn, 60 North Bothwell Street, and matched the first five numbers  04  21  28  31  44  (10)  in the Saturday drawing.

The store will receive a $10,000 bonus, 1 percent of the jackpot amount, for selling a winning ticket.

The Powerball drawing takes place Wednesday and Saturday nights at 9:59 p.m. The jackpot for Wednesday is $90,000,000.
