Police have named a suspect in the murder of a father who was shot while his children slept nearby the morning after Christmas, but he remains at large.

Brandon Jackson, 18, is wanted for the killing of 37-year-old Ronalee McGuire.

It happened around 2:30am Thursday in an apartment detached from a home on Bobby Burns at Howton in northeast Houston.

The shooter fled with McGuire's girlfriend. Police had been looking for both of them.

Further investigation led police to charge Jackson with McGuire's murder.
