Ex-employee arrested in LI pizzaria robbery

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

A Long Island man is under arrest Tuesday for allegedly robbing the pizzeria where he used to work.

Police say 23-year-old Thomas Mitrakos quit his job at Angelina's Pizzeria on Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park, but kept the key.

He then allegedly used that key to get into the restaurant and steal money from two cash registers.

Unfortunately, Mitrakos didn't know the entire thing was caught on surveillance video.

He was identified Monday, arrested and charged with burglary.
