AMITYVILLE (WABC) -- Police have made a long-awaited arrest in a crash that injured an officer on Long Island.

Louis Blanton was arrested in Amityville.

Investigators say he led Nassau County police on a chase on the Southern State Parkway back in November, and then abruptly stopped.
