FREEPORT, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police on Long Island are searching for four men who savagely beat and robbed a man at 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police say the male victim, age 54, was walking down Atlantic Avenue in Freeport when four men approached him.
Police say two of the men started kicking and punching the victim, causing multiple face fractures and substantial swelling.
The men then stole money from the victim's pants pocket.
The victim is recovering at South Nassau Hospital.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
All callers will remain anonymous.
