MALVERNE (WABC) -- An SUV slammed into the side of a house on Long Island Thursday morning.
The driver was extricated from the white BMW after it crashed into the house at the intersection of Hempstead and Ocean avenues in Malverne just before 6:30 a.m.
The driver was taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside.
The force of the collision knocked the chimney off the opposite side of the house and knocked the home off its foundation.
The residents of the home, who were sleeping at the time, were not injured.
