Two killed in motorcylce accident in Roosevelt

ROOSEVELT, L.I. (WABC) -- Two people are dead after a horrible motorcycle accident on Long Island.

Nassau County police say a motorcyclist struck a pedestrian at Nassau Road and Lakewood Avenue just before 11 o'clock Saturday night.

The bike and its driver became lodged underneath a vehicle.

Both victims were given CPR on the way to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The investigation into the accident shut down roads in the area for several hours.
