Car slams into home in Medford; driver arrested

Police on Long Island arrested a man accused of driving into the front of a house and then fleeing the scene.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. Monday in Medford.

After crashing into the house, the driver attempted to back the car out. But when that didn't work, he tried to run away on foot.

Police were able to track him down.

Fortunately, the family asleep inside the house at the time of the crash was unharmed.
