SHIRLEY (WABC) -- Police on Long Island are looking for someone with a laser light who posed a serious danger in the sky.
A Suffolk County police helicopter was called in to search for suspects after the pilot of a commercial plane reported being hit with a green laser beam near the William Floyd Parkway in Shirley.
When they arrived, the helicopter crew was also hit by the beam.
Then, police K-9 units were sent to the area.
Two officers in the helicopter were treated at Stony Brook University Hospital for vision issues and headaches.
