Village justice says Hempstead mayor harrassed her

Thursday, October 11, 2012

Two former political allies on Long Island are now foes.

This tale of alleged misconduct and revenge is unfolding in the Village of Hempstead.

Mayor Wayne Hall and village Justice Tonya Hobson-Williams were running mates on the Democratic ticket in 2009.

Now she says the mayor has been sexually harassing her and she plans to sue the village for $5-million.

Mayor Hall denies the allegations.

The mayor says he asked that Hobson-Williams be removed from the bench last year for erratic behavior.

He believes the lawsuit is her retaliation for that.
