MASSAPEQUA (WABC) -- The Sunrise Mall in Massapequa was evacuated Monday night after a suspicious package was found.
The suspicious package was found at around 5:45pm in the lower level, center court near a jewelry store.
The mall was evacuated while the Nassau County Police bomb squad investigated.
The package turned out to be a suitcase with some personal belongings inside. Nothing inside was dangerous.
The mall was reopened at around 8 p.m. Monday.
