BRENTWOOD (WABC) -- An appliance store in Suffolk County is severely damaged after an out-of-control driver slammed his van into the building.
The crash happened at Willie's Appliances just before midnight on Suffolk Avenue in Brentwood.
The driver was unconscious when first responders arrived.
He was taken to Southside Hospital in unknown condition.
The crash also damaged some of the merchandise in the store.
The Town of Islip Department of Buildings was called out to assess the stability of the structure.
