Long Island man arrested with 69 drivers license issues

BRENTWOOD, L.I. (WABC) -- Police on Long Island arrested a driver after learning his license had been suspended or revoked 69 times.

An officer pulled over 22-year Jaquan Joas as he drove a 1990 Mercedes Benz in Brentwood Thursday for failing to signal.

That's when police say Joas initially gave a fake name and ran away.

Police arrested him after a brief chase.

Joas, of Copiague, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest, False Personation and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th Degree.
