RIVERHEAD -- On Long Island, police say a noisy party with hundreds of guests escalated into a brawl that ended with two people stabbed.
Suffolk County police say they responded to a complaint of loud music late Friday evening at a party in Riverhead.
They found hundreds of cars parked outside a house where about 500 people were partying. The volume was lowered, but soon, an argument erupted that led to the stabbings.
Twenty-eight-year-old Rashawn Lamb was taken to a hospital with stab wounds to his back, and 22-year-old Tashawn Brown suffered lacerations to his left hand. Neither could tell police who had assaulted them or why.
Authorities are investigating.
