3 men arrested in string of robberies across 3 towns on Long Island

ELMONT (WABC) -- Three men are under arrest in a robbery pattern that spans three towns on Long Island.

Joshua Prince, Nakwan Hailey and Dillan Malebranche are facing robbery and gun charges in connection with the incidents, which took place in Manhasset, Great Neck and Elmont.

Police say that on at least four occassions, the men threatened their victims with a gun before stealing cell phones and wallets.

The spree began just after 10:30 p.m. on July 29 on Clair Street and Tobin Avenue in Great Neck, when police say the suspects targeted a 22-year-old man.

An hour and a half later, just around midnight, police say the suspects approached three men ages 18, 18 and 17 and robbed them at gunpoint on Webster Avenue in Manhasset.

They struck again at 2:15 a.m. August 4 on Plandome Road in Manhasset, when a 36-year-old man was robbed.

They were arrested following a fourth incident just after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in Elmont. Police say the suspects robbed four men at the corner of Arthur Avenue and Adams Street, then fled the scene in a 2008 Acura that officers later pulled over for speeding.

The suspects were taken into custody without incident.

They are charged with four counts of first-degree robbery. Additionally, Prince is charged with first-degree criminal use of a firearm.
