Body found in Bay Shore apartment complex

BAY SHORE, N.Y. (WABC) -- An investigation is underway after a body was found near a dumpster Friday in Bay Shore, Long Island.

Police were called to 91 South Clinton Avenue at 9:15 a.m..

The body had been found in the parking lot of the Birches apartment complex.

It was taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office where a cause of death will be determined.

Authorities have not disclosed whether the victim was a man or a woman.
