DIX HILLS, N.Y. (WABC) -- A close call for a driver on Long Island, who escaped from a falling tree Monday afternoon.
The tree fell onto a car in Dix Hills, just after the woman parked on Arista Drive at about 2:30 p.m.
The woman, who had just gotten out of the vehicle when the tree fell, escaped with minor injuries.
She was struck by several branches and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
