Cat killed in pit bull attack

Monday, November 29, 2010

Santanu and Lynn Roy want the owner of two pit bulls held accountable for the death of their cat.

They say the unleashed dogs mauled their cat while the owner stood by and watched.

It happened outside their home in the Lafayette section of Jersey City on Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m.

Santanu Roy ran outside and kicked one of the dogs off the cat, but it was too late.

The owner said 'my bad' and then left with his dogs, according to the Roys.

Authorities have not been able to identify the dogs' owner.
