ENGLEWOOD, NJ (WABC) -- The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office confirms that Paul Kudowitz, 57, died at Englewood Hospital Friday night.
Kudowitz was struck and killed by a hit and run driver less then a block from his Allison Court home in Englewood.
It happened at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
Witnesses tell police the car that struck him was a light color, possibly white or tan, SUV or wagon. It may be a Chevrolet.
Police say it definitely has "significant" front end damage.
The victim was carried on the hood of the car for a short distance before he eventually fell off.
Kudowitz was crossing Broad Avenue when he was struck by the vehicle, which was heading south on Broad.
