Eyewitness NewsNEWARK (WABC) -- Good news about the joint effort by Newark police and the U.S. Marshals Service regarding a crackdown on carjackings in New Jersey's largest city.
Last week investigators made 25 arrests, including a suspect wanted in connection with an October armed carjacking.
Last year Newark saw a 70% jump in carjackings.
There were 80 carjackings in Newark in November and December alone.
