RUTHERFORD, N.J. (WABC) -- A bank robbery in New Jersey ended with a shooting Thursday afternoon.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Chase Bank on Union Avenue in Rutherford.
While a man attempted to commit an armed robbery, police arrived and a Rutherford Police officer shot the suspect several times.
The suspect was then rushed to a local hospital.
No one else was injured.
A federal investigation into the robbery is now underway.
