Synagogue fire investigated in Ocean, NJ

OCEAN (WABC) -- Firefighters are investigating the cause of an overnight fire in a New Jersey synagogue.

Firefighters say the fire spread quickly at the community center of Congregation Magen David of West Deal in Ocean, NJ.

The three-alarm fire started at 1:00 a.m., but crews were not able to get it under control for nearly three hours.

There was no one in the building at the time of the fire.

No injuries were reported.
