A five alarm fire caused evacuations at a retirement home in Old Bridge, New Jersey. (Matawan-Aberdeen; patch.com)
OLD BRIDGE, New Jersey (WABC) -- A four alarm fire at a retirement community in New Jersey damaged nearly a dozen apartments.
The fire broke out around 10:30 this morning at the Cheesequake Village Retirement Community in Old Bridge.
Firefighters spent an hour to bring it under control. By then, flames had damaged ten units. Three of them were destroyed.
No one was injured. Only one resident needed emergency housing, officials said.
The investigation into the cause was continuing.
