Bounty hunter charged with sex assault, impersonation

JERSEY CITY (WABC) -- A bounty hunter in New Jersey is charged with sexual assault while pretending to be a police officer.

Authorities say 24-year-old Clevebert Mardenborough threatened to arrest an 18-year-old woman, intimidating her and flashing a gold badge.

Investigators say the threats led to two sexual encounters in a Jersey City hotel.

Prosecutors did not say how the suspect and victim initially came in contact.

Mardenborough is being held on $75,000 bail.
