Two attempted lurings in New Jersey

Thursday, October 11, 2012

Police in New Jersey are investigating two attempted lurings in Maywood and Oradell.

The first attempted luring happened in Maywood on Saturday.

An 8-year-old girl was in the front yard of her grandparents' home.

An older man walked up to her and asked if she wanted to go to his home and see his puppies.

She didn't say a word and ran back into the home.

The second attempted luring happened in nearby Oradell on Tuesday.

This time, a 7-year-old girl was in the front yard of her home.

She says a man got out of a gray car and approached her.

So she grabbed her brother and ran into their home not saying a word either.

Police from both departments may be after the same person; he's described as a white man between 50 and 60 years old with salt and pepper hair.

In the first case he was wearing a blue shirt, black tie and dark pants.

In the second case he was wearing a button down shirt and dark pants.

His sketch is quickly spreading throughout these two Bergen County communities.
