Person fatally shot at Newark housing complex

NEWARK (WABC) -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Newark overnight Tuesday.

Authorities say one person was shot and killed at the New Hope Village housing complex, located at West Market and Norfolk streets near the University of Medicine and Dentistry.

Another person was wounded.

The victim was the fourth person shot and killed in Newark in the last week.

There is no word on any suspects.
