HOBOKEN, N.J. (WABC) -- Friends, fans and fellow athletes came together to honor former Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand Wednesday night.
A fundraiser was held to raise money to research a cure for the paralysis that ended LeGrand's career.
He was injured on the field during a game in 2010.
LeGrand's Rutgers jersey was among the items up for auction in Hoboken.
He says the proceeds will change the lives of people with spinal injuries.
Other items auctioned off include an Eli Manning signed ESPN Magazine, and signed pictures of Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, and Yankee tickets.
