2 people struck by gunfire in Newark

NEWARK (WABC) -- At approximately 7:40 pm Saturday, Newark Police responded to the 100 block of Avon Avenue after an alert for multiple shots fired.

Two victims, an unidentified female, and a 27-year-old male were struck by the gunfire. Both victims sustained non life-threatening wounds.
