NYPD releases sketch in Manhattan slashing

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Investigators have released a sketch of a man police say attacked a woman during an attempted robbery in Washington Heights.

Police say the man confronted the 65-year-old woman while she was taking the trash outside her building on 183rd Street last Wednesday.

She says he slashed her in the face and chest with a box cutter when she didn't have the cash, keys and cell phone he demanded.
