Woman leaves son alone to gamble at casino

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A gambling getaway ended up costing a Manhattan mother her son.

Police say 38-year-old Xiao Xu Wu was gambling at the Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut after leaving her 5-year-old son alone in their hotel room.

He called 911 and told the operator he did not know where his mom was.

She was found and arrested.

The boy is now in the custody of Child Protective Services.
