NEW YORK (WABC) -- The MTA accused tonight of ignoring community concerns about dirty air, supposedly kicked up by blasting for the Second Avenue subway project.
MTA officials met with Upper East Side residents Thursday night to talk about a recent air quality study, which found the air to be safe.
Some residents say they're suffering respiratory symptoms. They refer to it as "Second Avenue Subway Cough," and they're questioning the validity of the MTA's study.
The MTA says that lawmakers are pushing legislation to require the state to conduct regular air quality tests at the site.
