Residents along 2nd Avenue upset about air quality

Thursday, January 26, 2012

The MTA accused tonight of ignoring community concerns about dirty air, supposedly kicked up by blasting for the Second Avenue subway project.

MTA officials met with Upper East Side residents Thursday night to talk about a recent air quality study, which found the air to be safe.

Some residents say they're suffering respiratory symptoms. They refer to it as "Second Avenue Subway Cough," and they're questioning the validity of the MTA's study.
