NYPD: Man posing as cop robs apartment in Canarsie

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The hunt is on in Brooklyn for the suspect who posed as police officer and robbed a home.

Police say the man in the above sketch was wearing a jacket with NYPD badges and had a fake shield hanging from around his neck when he knocked on a door in Canarsie Wednesday.

He told the victim he needed to come inside to investigate a break in. Then, the suspect pulled out a gun, tied up the residents and covered their heads.

He then let in another person in, and the pair robbed the place.
