PARK SLOPE (WABC) -- Police in Brooklyn hope new surveillance video of an attempted sex attack will help them catch a predator.
The attack happened on 49th street in the Park Slope section around 3:00 a.m. Thursday.
Surveillance video shows a man grabbing a woman and covering her mouth.
Police say the suspect knocked on the 57-year-old victim's door and attempted to rape her.
The suspect is described by police as a man in his 40's. He fled when a family member interrupted the attack.
Police are concerned the man in the video may be responsible for other attacks in the area.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned man in his 40s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing about 170 pounds.
If you have information call crime stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
