NEW YORK (WABC) -- One man is in custody, and a second is being sought, for allegedly breeding dogs for fighting in the basement of a Bronx apartment building.
Police say the seizure of the dogs ends an extensive investigation into the two men.
Detectives have allegedly been looking into the duo since October for illegally breading and selling the dogs for fighting.
Up to 50 dogs will be seized from a windowless basement in the Sherman Avenue building.
Charges against the arrested man are pending.
