6 injured as car slams into Queens restaurant

Six people were injured Saturday evening when a car jumped a curb and slammed into a restaurant in Maspeth Queens.

The accident happened at 6:22pm.

The driver lost control and hit the front of Connolly's Corner, a bar and restaurant located at the corner of Grand Avenue and 72nd Street.

Several of the victims were walking on the street when they were hit.

Their injuries are described as mostly minor and not life threatening.

One person was thrown through the front glass door and landed in the restaurant.

All the victims are being treated at Elmhurst Hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
